Magdalene Konneh is a Sierra Leonean residing in the south-west Sydney suburb of Liverpool. She is an independent journalist, a dedicated community service worker, an advocate for the rights of refugees, an activist against the practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and a radio broadcaster. Magdalene’s career began at the Awoke Newspaper, Radio Mercury in Freetown, and African Sports Monthly magazine. She holds a journalism diploma from LICSSAL Business College in Sierra Leone and a Diploma in Community Services from TAFE.
